Roger Staubach Just One Of Many Legendary Arms in Attendance

The day started with Bart Starr, it ended with Roger Staubach and Aaron Rodgers got us there. There were two underlying these to Super Bowl XLV, winning and quarterbacks.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Bart Starr was highlighted before the game. The memories of past Green Bay victories were brought back to the forefront. Then Aaron Rodgers took over.

He delighted us with four quarters of nearly perfect football. He was precise with his passes and vocal with his leadership. His performance hearkened back the the days when quarterbacks put their teams on their shoulders.

Injuries or defenses could not squander his drive to win. This was his day to be immortalized.

The day ended with Roger Staubach. A fitting end to a day that was all about the man under center. He was more than a great quarterback. He was a great quarterback when it mattered. That is what makes a Hall of Famer, a Hall of Famer with a Super Bowl win. Staubach has two.

So the events traversed the great lengths of the NFL nation. We started in Green Bay and ended in Dallas. The quarterback is the most important position for a reason. They always have the ball in their hands.

The difference is that these guys did something special when they released it.
